FazerThe Settings Window
FazerWM's graphical settings editor. Ten panes, one window, and everything it writes is the same YAML you could edit by hand.
Open Settings from the menu bar icon (it shows the current workspace name) → Settings…, or press ⌘+, while FazerWM is focused. The window floats above your apps, so you can tweak a setting and watch the layout react immediately after saving.
Each pane gets its own page in this section, in the same order as the sidebar above. The panes also mirror the app's grouping: General, Appearance (Focus Ring, Columns, Overview, Recent Windows), Behavior (Keybinds, Gestures, Named Workspaces), Rules (Window Rules), and Pro.
Saving and reverting
Edits in Settings are buffered, not applied live. The toolbar at the top of the window tracks your state:

Because Save rewrites the YAML, anything you edited by hand in another app is preserved as long as you save (or revert) before the file changes underneath you. Edits made to the file outside Settings load automatically via hot-reload, and the Settings window picks them up too.
When the YAML is broken
If config.yaml fails to parse (a stray tab, an unclosed quote), the app falls back to built-in defaults and Settings shows a persistent red banner:
The banner is deliberately cautious: while the file is broken, Save is disabled so the GUI can't overwrite your YAML with built-in defaults. Fix the file in a text editor; it hot-reloads the moment you save it, and the banner disappears.
Pro locks
On the free tier, five panes are locked with an overlay: Focus Ring, Columns, Gestures, Named Workspaces, and Window Rules (marked PRO in the sidebar of this docs section, just like the lock icons in the app). Your existing values in those panes are preserved and come back when you upgrade.
Two panes are mixed: General and Keybinds stay fully editable on the free tier, but their Pro-controlled settings are gathered into a trailing, dimmed Pro Features section inside the pane. This keeps related settings in one place and makes the free/Pro boundary visible at a glance.

The Settings window and the config file are two views of the same data. Settings is the friendly path; the YAML file is the scriptable one (dotfiles, version control, comments). Every pane page in this section names the config keys it writes, and the Configuration Reference covers the full schema.
