FazerConfiguration File
FazerWM is configured with YAML. It supports hot-reload; changes take effect as soon as you save.
File Location

💡 Hot-Reload
FazerWM watches the config file for changes. It uses a file system event source. The changes are applied after a 0.5 s debounce. You do not need a restart. If a change is not picked up, save the file again. Some editors use atomic saves (write to a temp file, then rename). These saves occasionally bypass the watcher.
Config Resolution
FazerWM uses a ResolvedConfig layer. This layer merges the user settings with the defaults. It applies the Pro feature gating:
- User values take precedence over the defaults
- Pro features are disabled in the resolved config when the license is free
- Pro gating never modifies the user YAML file
- When the license changes to Pro, all saved settings come back into effect
