FazerTerms of Service
FazerWM is made by Konstruukt Labs. These terms cover the app, the Pro license, and this website. The short version: the core app is free, Pro is a yearly household subscription, everything you get while subscribed is yours to keep, and if something is wrong you can always write to us.
Accepting these terms
By downloading or using FazerWM you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. They apply to whoever uses the Mac it is installed on, for work or otherwise.
The free app
FazerWM's core window management is free: infinite columns, workspaces, drag-and-drop layout, the overview, keyboard navigation, and the YAML config. It works without a license and without an account, forever. Pro features need a license.
The trial
Each Mac gets one 30-day trial of Pro while FazerWM is in public beta (the length is set server-side and may change once the store opens). Trials are tracked with the hashed device identifier described in our privacy policy, so reinstalling the app does not start a second one. If your Mac reports a trial that was already used, for example on a refurbished machine, write to us and we will sort it out.
Pro subscriptions
Pro is a yearly subscription: one license covers the Macs in your home, up to 5 at once. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically each year at a lower loyalty rate from your first renewal, until you cancel — and you can cancel any time. Taxes, where required, are handled by the payment provider.
What you keep
Every version of FazerWM released while your subscription is active keeps working forever, on the Macs your license was activated on, even after your subscription ends. Cancelling does not lock you out of what you already have. Versions released after your subscription ends need an active subscription.
Macs and your license
Your license covers the Macs in your home — up to 5 at once. While your subscription is active you can move freely: deactivate FazerWM on one Mac while you are online, then activate it on another. After your subscription ends, the Macs that were set up on the license keep working, and you can remove them — but adding or re-adding a Mac needs an active subscription. Using the same license key on more Macs at once than this, or outside your own household, is not allowed.
Payment
Checkout and payment run through a third-party payment provider. The purchase itself is governed by their terms, and your payment details stay with them; we never see your card number. What we receive is what the privacy policy describes: license details and a hashed device identifier.
Refunds
If FazerWM is not right for you, write to us within 14 days of a purchase or renewal charge and we will refund it. A refunded license stops validating, and the app falls back to the free core.
Fair use
Do not bypass or remove FazerWM's license check, and do not share or publish your license key beyond the Macs it covers in your own household. Beyond that, the deal is simple: use the app on the Macs it covers.
The app as it is
FazerWM is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Window management depends on macOS permissions and system behavior, and macOS changes under us now and then. We fix what we can, when we can, but we cannot promise the app will always work with every future macOS release. Keep your own backups; we are not responsible for lost work or data.
Liability
Our liability for anything connected to FazerWM is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential damages, to the extent the law allows this limit.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as FazerWM changes. The current version always lives on this page, and significant changes are announced before they take effect. The terms in force when you bought your license apply to that purchase.
